Casting a voice traditionally meant a studio working through an archive of MP3 demo reels – listening through samples, shortlisting a few speakers, and picking whichever pre-recorded clips sounded closest to what was needed. Those clips went to the client, who then had to imagine how that voice would actually sound reading the real script, and made a decision based on that guess. - The new way.
VoiceWunder replaces the guesswork with what we call point casting: instead of sending generic samples, a studio has the actual candidates – a real voice talent through Voice Sharing, or a Library AI voice – perform the final script itself, then sends that directly to the client. There’s nothing left to imagine: the client hears exactly how the finished line will sound, on the actual text, and the decision becomes obvious rather than a guess. - Casting doesn’t end at the decision, either.
Because voices stay editable throughout the project, the voice can keep being refined during production itself – using Text-to-Speech or Speech-to-Speech – without booking a new session or restarting the casting process from scratch.
How point casting works
- Browse the Voice Library or Voice Sharing catalog of available voices.
- Perform the actual script – not a demo reel – directly in your project: inside Premiere Pro, Pro Tools, or another supported DAW.
- Send it to the client – because it’s the real line, not a sample, the decision is immediate.
- License and produce – if Voice Sharing is used, usage rights, project scope, and compensation are agreed directly between the talent and the studio.
- Keep refining during production with Text-to-Speech or Speech-to-Speech, without booking a new session.
Whether you’re casting for an audio-post session or a video edit, the voice you choose is available in the same place you’re already working: natively inside Pro Tools or Premiere Pro, with no separate casting tool to manage.
For studios
Studios get access to shared voices through a Studio plan, casting from a curated pool of professional voices without booking individual sessions per project. Because every performance stays editable inside the session, casting isn’t a one-shot decision – a script or delivery change doesn’t require a new recording.
For voice talent
Voice talent can make their voice available through the Voice Talent plan, creating up to 20 digital variants of their own voice – covering different emphasis styles, moods, or tonal characteristics – for selected VoiceWunder users on a Studio plan to license and use.
